Megan learned that her cancer had recurred, many years after
first diagnosis and treatment.

Before she underwent surgery we worked out a plan of eating that gave her maximum nutritional intake, even when she didn’t feel like eating and was very tired. The focus was on maximising her immune system recovery. After her discharge I also visited her at home, and with her consent discussed meal suggestions with her family, to help her recover.

During her chemotherapy she developed a number of side effects, research showed that these might be helped by nutritional

supplements. These were incorporated into her nutrition plan and she was able to complete her courses of chemotherapy.

To support her immune system during and after her long courses of hospital treatment, she took a Myconutrient preparation that is used in conventional oncology in Japan, as a supplement for immune recovery.

Throughout her treatment I wrote to her various consultants to keep them informed of my recommendations, with copies of the relevant research papers.
